ABOUT ME
Han-Yu Hsueh (薛涵宇) received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 2005, followed by an M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from National Taiwan University in 2007. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Rong-Ming Ho.
From 2011 to 2014, he conducted postdoctoral research in Prof. Rong-Ming Ho's group at National Tsing Hua University, fulfilling his military service obligations through research. He subsequently joined Prof. Alfred J. Crosby's group as a visiting scholar in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA, from 2014 to 2015. He then joined Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) as a Principal R&D Engineer, focusing on advanced semiconductor process technology development.
In August 2016, Dr. Hsueh joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Associate Professor in February 2021 and to Full Professor in August 2024.
His current research interests include polymer-based hybrid materials, polymer self-assembly, bioinspired interfaces, surface wrinkling, optomechanical sensors, and stimuli-responsive materials.
